Hatimtai
grew up to be a tall and handsome teenager. He mastered all kinds of fighting
skills.
All the six
thousand boys, who grew up in the palace training in warfare. They too became

started laughing at Hatim. Seeing this, all the six thousand boys came and
stood around Hatim ready to fight for him.
Hatim told
his brothers not to say anything. But when the prince insulted Hatim again and
called him a coward, the prince found him surrounded by all the six thousand
boys, looking at him angrily.
The proud
prince god afraid and stopped laughing. It was only when Hatim asked his
brothers to forgive the prince did they leave him. Seeing himself free, the
prince quickly ran away and sat next to his father.
Everyone in
the court praised this unity among the boys. They admired the fact that all the
six thousand boys loved each other.
When Hatim
was only twelve years old, his father died. The death of the king left the
entire kingdom grief-stricken. The people lamented the death of their
kind-hearted king.
During that
time, Hatim was learning the finer nuances of looking after the kingdom.
Some
trusted ministers looked after the kingdom until Hatim was ready to become the
king.
Then at the
age of fourteen, Hatim was crowed as the king of Yemen. He was kinder than his
father. Every needy person in this kingdom was allowed to walk up to the palace
to ask for money.
The poor
and the needy could come to ask for help at any time of the day.
Even after
becoming the king, Hatim maintained his brotherly relation with the six
thousand boys in the palace.
They were
given important jobs in the kingdom, and they helped Hatim in the
administration of the kingdom.
He helped
them when they were in trouble. If they asked for anything, Hatim never refused
them. He made sure that all of them were happy.
When
they grew up, they married to the girls of their choice. Even their families
were well looked.
