Hatimtai grew up to be a tall and handsome teenager. He mastered all kinds of fighting skills.

Since all the boys had been brought up together, they had become very good friends. They were very loyal to Prince Hatim. If he faced any problem, all the boys helped him out of it.
Once a prince of a neighboring kingdom came to the palace. The princess's father had come to meet Prince Hatim's father for some work.
The prince of the neighbouring kingdom was very proud and spoke to the six thousand boys, in Hatim's palace, in a disrespectful and insulting manner.
Hatim asked the prince to be police to the boys because he considered them as his brothers.
The prince started laughing at Hatim. Seeing this, all the six thousand boys came and stood around Hatim ready to fight for him.
Hatim told his brothers not to say anything. But when the prince insulted Hatim again and called him a coward, the prince found him surrounded by all the six thousand boys, looking at him angrily.
The proud prince god afraid and stopped laughing. It was only when Hatim asked his brothers to forgive the prince did they leave him. Seeing himself free, the prince quickly ran away and sat next to his father.
Everyone in the court praised this unity among the boys. They admired the fact that all the six thousand boys loved each other.
When Hatim was only twelve years old, his father died. The death of the king left the entire kingdom grief-stricken. The people lamented the death of their kind-hearted king.
During that time, Hatim was learning the finer nuances of looking after the kingdom.
Some trusted ministers looked after the kingdom until Hatim was ready to become the king.
Then at the age of fourteen, Hatim was crowed as the king of Yemen. He was kinder than his father. Every needy person in this kingdom was allowed to walk up to the palace to ask for money.
The poor and the needy could come to ask for help at any time of the day.
Even after becoming the king, Hatim maintained his brotherly relation with the six thousand boys in the palace.
They were given important jobs in the kingdom, and they helped Hatim in the administration of the kingdom.
He helped them when they were in trouble. If they asked for anything, Hatim never refused them. He made sure that all of them were happy.
When they grew up, they married to the girls of their choice. Even their families were well looked.
