THE DOCTOR'S EARS

One day, the doctor asked Sheikh, "What would happen if my ears fell off?"

Sheikh replied, "You would surely become deaf and blind too for there would be no ears to hold your spectacles!"

The doctor burst out laughing.

Where does the road go?

One day, a man stopped Sheikh on the road and asked, "Where does this road go?"

Sheikh replied, "Nowhere! We can go on the road but the road does not go anywhere."

The man laughed and agreed, "Yes you are right."

Sheikh Chilli was roaming around another village when he saw a field filled with pumpkins.

Sheikh did not recognize the pumpkins because he had never seen a pumpkin before.

He asked the farmer, "What are these things?"

The farmer wanted to have some fun, so he said, "These are special eggs of the earth."

Sheikh asked, "What comes out of these eggs?"

The farmer answered, "It could be baby animals of any type."

"I want to buy one. What is the cost? I have only these coins with me, said Sheikh.

The farmer took all his money and said, "You look clever, so I will give you one egg of the earth for this money."

"How will it hatch?"

I will tell you," said the farmer. The pumpkin was too heavy to pick up, so the farmer left it on the ground.

The farmer made a platform on the tree with bamboo sticks and covered it with hay.

He told Sheikh to sit on th platform till the egg of the earth hatcheed.

Sheikh sat on the tree seat waiting for the egg to hatch.

The farmer would give him food to eat, but the farmer would also bring people from his village to see 'the idiot ' Sheikh sitting on the tree seat.

On the third day, Sheikh was feeling very tired of reclining on the tree seat. He tried to sit up and then he fell on the pumpkin that was kept on the ground under the tree.

As he fell, the pumpkin burst open. A baby deer had been sleeping nearby.

When Sheikh fell down, the frightened baby deer ran from there. Sheikh saw it running away.

He thought that the egg had hatched and the baby deer had come out from the egg.

Sheikh Chilli ran after the baby deer but it ran away and Sheikh had to come back empty handed. He started crying.

He walked to the farmer who was watching Sheikh with his friends. All of them were laughing at Sheikh's stupidity.

"I lost the baby deer that came out of the egg," cried Sheikh.

The farmer consoled him, "You go home. If I see the baby deer, I will send it to you."

Sheikh went home crying, leaving the farmer and his friends laughing.
